and its history

GEb is the result of the cooperation between Studio Legale Pennisi and Lunati&Mazzoni, whose joint objective is to provide their client with a complete range of services in the industrial and intellectual property field.

Pennisi Law Firm was founded in Genoa in 1951, when the former secretary general of the Cornigliano steelworks, Avv. Venerando Pennisi, decided to start working as a free professional and open his own office in the enviable central location of Via Garibaldi.
Since then, the Law Firm has become one of Genoa leading law firms , as well as the example of a constantly evolving legal business. With the arrival of his nephew Lorenzo Pennisi and the cooperation  with Lunati & Maher, the Firm has created a dedicated multidisciplinary team of professionals with specific expertise and know-how in the protection and exploitation of intangible assets, such as trademarks and patents or other proprietary rights such as software, photographs and databases.

Lunati&Mazzoni is a company established in 1982 and a well-known patent office in Milano, which offer consultancy in the field of industrial property and a broad range of related services, such as: filing of patent applications, registration of trademarks, models and design, as well as assistance in the related granting procedures. These licenses are then extended worldwide, most frequently to Europe, the United States, China and Japan.
Lunati & Mazzoni is authorized to operate in the various Authorities, such as:
- the Italian Patent and Trademark Office (UIBM), for the procedures of filing patents, models and national brands;
- the European Patent Office (EPO), for the filing of European patents;
- the European Industrial Property Office (EUIPO) for the filing of European Union trademarks or EU models and designs.

The encounter between these two complementary and highly recognized businesses gave rise to GEb, with its unique skills and  wide range of services offered, which also include: prior art searches, preparation of technical-legal advice and contracts, development of protection strategies, patent filing, trademark and design applications and their extension all over the world, as well as the management of related administrative or judicial disputes.
